410 year old Pinion Pine slabs for bar stools.... It died in 2003 and had to come down so I sanded a slab and counted. So, what was going on in astronomy in 1593AD? (1596: Tycho Brahe completes the best star catalogue of pre-telescopic times). I have a couple of presumably much older Pinion Pine on the property at twice the diameter, if diameter is an indicator.
