Welcome to OSP Winter Freeze Out - 2017.
The OSP Winter Freeze Out was held February 23rd to the 28th!!
After a busy evening the previous Thursday night, setting up all the gear and crashing early, the next morning was sunny and windy!

First order of business was FOOD!....

Joe set up his iOptron Tracker with the D750 for some wide-field images!....

I set up an iOptron Cube goto with the Canon 60Da and a 300mmF4 lens!....

On Friday night we had cameras going while using the 36" scope until 4am!!....

On Saturday on the way to Ace Hardware in town we saw a herd of Elk and we got a few pictures!....

Of course there was the Log Book which he's now signed in! I chiseled it in for him the next day since he was only here for a couple hours..., but he's officially the second attendee of the OSP 2017 Winter Freeze Out.

Later that Satruday evening we set up the AS Research Flip Goggles with twin AS Research UHC and AS Research H-beta filters!.... We viewed Barnard's Loop with the Flip Goggles! That was an amazing sight to have total dark adaptation and see the loop in Orion! Also, the California Nebula was seen.

On Sunday we started packing up but a spot for the wind turbine was identified!....

The Spring flowers were starting to come up; Daffodils and Crocus!....

Upon arrival back in Gold Canyon, we set up the computers to start processing the astro-images, and cigars and whiskey!....

Jack Palance stopped by also! What a treat to finally meet him!....

When the predicted rain arrived we took our image processing to the garage!....

Fun times and a nice view of the Superstition Mountains! Cheers to another successful star party, in February no less....
